"Consumers have robust rights"

Mrs Vĕra Jourová, who has been named Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality has committed herself to regain consumers' trust in Europe

The new Commissioner explained her background highlighting as follows: "I am above all a politician and a committed advocate of action that will improve the lives of the citizens that I represent. I have had the privilege to hold elected office and represent citizens at local and national level, and I hope to have the opportunity to take up this appointment at the European level."
