F.N.AA and EASRA representatives meeting Mr. Virgilio RANOCCHIARI on family-run businesses' concerns regarding their future in the Automotive after-market

On May 22nd, 2012 Mr. Gérard Polo, F.N.AA Chairman, Mr. Aliou SOW, F.N.AA Secretary General, Mr. René Rigaud, E.A.S.R.A Chairman and Mrs. Brigitte Castell, lobbyist, met Mr. Virgilio RANOCCHIARI, Member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), who represents EESC Chairman, Mr. Staffan Nilsson, in CARS 21 High Level Group advising Mr. Antonio Tajani, Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship.

Mr. RANOCCHIARI supported family-run businesses' concerns on streng-thening consumers' freedom of choice. He recalled Mr. Mario MONTI's statement - when he was Commissioner for Competition Policy -, saying that "it should be the consumer who is in the driver's seat for competition". One of the objective of European Regulation is "to putting independent repairers in a better position to compete in the after - sales market".
